DONKERVOORT D8 turbo 210HP

Joop Donkervoort Dutch manufacturer offers a lightweight and powerful roadster for road use. The Donkervoort D8 has been completely redesigned by the founder of the company and more than vaguely resembles a Lotus Super Seven. This sports car is carefully handcrafted with selected parts in the automotive industry.
The S8, Donkervoort first built in 1993, was equipped with the Ford Zetec engine. A year later, a variant with a Ford Cosworth engine was born. Since 1999, only Audi drivers are used. In the years ninety stopping the production of Ford Cosworth engines, Donkervvort compelled to seek a new engine supplier. Audi engines produced beautiful and was very interested in providing engines to the Donkervoort society. The choice fell on the 1.8T 20V AGU engine to power the D8 series. For the first time since the existence of the brand, a new engine supplier was chosen. The Audi engine had many advantages over Ford engines, lighter and more compact and fully meet the strictest emission requirements. It should be noted that another important improvement occurred on that date: Donkervoort produces its own chassis. The result, a frame much stronger and more rigid, which added to all the other changes made to the D8 a real phenomenon. The Donkervoort D8 with the turbocharged 1.8-liter engine is available in different power levels: 150 hp, 180 hp, 210 hp and 270 hp. In combination with a total weight of about 630 kg, it appears that the strength of the acceleration values is already proving good enough with 180cv engine.
